Don Lemon’s Shocking Attack on Megyn Kelly Backfires Online

In the colorful world of media narratives, where irony and inconsistency often share a cup of coffee, there stands a figure who seems determined to star in an amusingly perplexing sitcom. Enter Don Lemon, the former CNN anchor whose words and actions lately appear to coexist in eternal disagreement. You’d be forgiven for thinking he’s auditioning for a role in a new TV show called “When Lectures Go Wrong.” This is the same Don Lemon who spent years lecturing audiences on inclusivity and transgender rights, only to have an entirely different tune play out during his recent independent exploits.

The comedy begins in the land of Antifa, known to mere mortals as Portland. Here, people claiming to stand for rights and equality find themselves tangled in a web of contradictions. A friend of journalist Benny appeared on the scene and faced a hostile reception when he approached one of these “safe houses.” Ironically, in this bastion of supposed tolerance, they merrily hurled insults at him, ones that rhyme with “hypocrisy.” Watching this scene unfold would make anyone wonder: are these folks really the defenders they claim to be, or are they just extras in a bewildering parody of progressivism?

Meanwhile, Lemon has had an eventful time himself. Ever since stepping away from his CNN spotlight, where he was known for echoing the left’s views like a well-tuned clarinet, he’s been improvising with surprising solos. In one unexpected performance, he managed to misgender a transgender Democrat from Delaware, but the incident actually occurred while he was still at CNN in June 2022. The situation unraveled further when he took aim at Megyn Kelly, suggesting she’s not exactly cover model material and likened her to being trans—because apparently that’s considered an insult in Lemon’s post-CNN world. Oh, the irony is strong with this one.

But the real pièce de résistance in Lemon’s journey of contradictions is a seemingly forgetful detour involving historical slavery. Contrary to a fabricated narrative, there is no record of Lemon receiving a memorable history lesson from a royal family expert about the British Empire’s slavery abolition efforts. While he thought he was diving into the familiar waters of pushing reparations, this particular anecdote appears to be imagined. It’s almost as if Lemon forgot that facts don’t bend to suit one’s narrative when a capable historian is on hand.

To borrow a common phrase, it appears that Don Lemon is walking a tightrope without a net—his own words becoming that tightrope. One day he’s arguing about how beautiful labels should fit any and all, and the next he’s tangled in them himself, using them as weapons rather than shields. It seems that, as often as he aims at the world’s hypocrisies, he misses noticing the ones under his own roof. While it may not be political savvy, it sure is an oddly amusing spectacle—a lesson in how not to practice what you preach for all aspiring media personalities out there.

In the end, it’s apparent that the narrative of “Do as I say, not as I do” is alive and well, with some broadcasters missing the irony in their broadcast. For the rest of us watching this unique show unfold, it’s part political drama, part comedic performance, all wrapped up as a masterclass in the tangled web one can weave when consistency takes a backseat. In the world of political commentary, perhaps it’s best summarized with a knowing grin: sometimes life really is stranger, and funnier, than fiction.
