Sublimotion in the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza is the world’s most expensive restaurant per person, offering a theatrical and multisensory dining experience for almost $3,000 each. It’s outrageously expensive– or is it? For that amount of money you get to experience your food in virtual reality, have a team of 25 waiters, DJs, cooks and illusionists to guide you through your meal, and you’ll get to travel through space, time and around the world on an epic culinary journey. Does it seem more worth it now?
Sublimotion is the creation of double Michelin starred Chef Paco Roncero, who wanted to combine all the five senses into one technological and gastronomical journey. His cool sci-fi dining experience includes the freshest ingredients along with realistic sounds, immersive music, and theatrical performances. It’s an incredibly exclusive multiplayer experience, with technology that allows you to see your friends as avatars in a virtual reality world. The meal will take you to the sky in a luxury plane, under the water as sharks and dolphins swim by, and to a lively circus with real floating balloons that bring you dessert. There’s even an epic DJ course that will end your meal on an energetic note, and illusionists will make your food hover over the table in front of you. Are you ready to see what the most unique dining experience in the world is really like? Then click play and let’s travel to Ibiza, where we can see what Sublimotion is really all about.
